Illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita who is a prolific artist for Pokemon making contributions since its launch in Japan in 1996. He’s responsible for designing the symbols for the first six energy types, and illustrated some of the most iconic cards in all of Pokemon, including the Base Set Charizard and Pikachu.

One of the original sets released for Pokemon TCG, Jungle was released in Japan in 1997, and in 1999 in the US. Serving as the first set to follow up the incredibly popular Base Set, this is the first set to truly feature the eeveelutions that would go on to become theme for many future releases. True to its name, many of the Pokemon in this set are Grass-type.
