Japanese CGC 10 Vending Machine Series 3 Hypno 97

Illustrated by Masako Yamashita. She created over 30 cards, all of which are vintage at this point. With an art style that was more cartoonish generally but isn’t lacking detail by any measure. The last card she created was for Celestial Storm.

These sets were released in 1998, exclusively in Japan. These cards came in sets that were in sheets dispensed by a machine. Overall, a total of 3 sets were released. Considering how early, and exclusive these cards are, they make for an outstanding addition to any vintage collection.

Please note this slab is considered a CGC GEM Mint 10 after CGC’s adjustments to their grading scale. Any card that is a 9.5 in the old blue label can be “reholdered” (for a fee) in the new label as a CGC 10.
