Illustrated by Miki Tanaka, Miki has been contributing to Pokémon since nearly the beginning. Her debut was in Fossil, and she has continued to contribute artwork exceeding 200 cards. The art style she employs favors a simplistic approach without a heavy focus on detail, creating an enjoyable expression of Pokémon in her cards. 

Released in Japan on February 4th, 2000, this was the first set to introduce Pokémon from Generation 2 into the card game from the Pokémon Gold, and Pokémon Silver games. It included the new Dark and Metal energy. The equivalent in English is Neo Genesis. The debut set for the Johto region!
