Illustrated by Sumiyoshi Kizuki, they have been contributing to Pokémon TCG since 1997 where they debuted tons of art for the Team Rocket set. The style of their art has shifted over time to be slightly more detailed, and nuanced with the backgrounds from the original more crayon-style in their earlier work.

Released in Japan on February 4th, 2000, this was the first set to introduce Pokémon from Generation 2 into the card game from the Pokémon Gold, and Pokémon Silver games. It included the new Dark and Metal energy. The equivalent in English is Neo Genesis. The debut set for the Johto region!
